I
remember like it was yesterday
the day in high school when my
brother brought home a computer. I was hooked on it
from the first day and soon
thereafter.
At
university, I chose to study
biomedical engineering because
it was the only College that had
computers and offered IT
courses. I loved my course of
study because of its emphasis on
technology. My proudest
moment was when I had two
medical technology projects
selected for exhibition at the
national technology fair of
Syria in 2001. In one
project, I designed a
dynamic website to archive
hospital data so doctors could
access patient records anywhere,
anytime.
For my graduate
project, I designed a program to help Syrian
doctors derive enhanced 3-D information from
digital medical images. Later that year, I
went on to work at the Ministry of Health, where I installed a database
system, created and maintained the Ministry
web site and helped make the Ministry more
technology-friendly. Since moving to
Dubai in 2005, I have pursued my passion to
combine creativity with technology as a
graphic/web designer, first in the media
sector and since 2007 as a freelance
designer.
In my work, I seek to grow, learn,
contribute to the lives of others, create,
inspire, and always find and embrace my
passion.
